Update: The MTN Pricing can be found here.

Following last week’s rumoured prepaid iPhone 4S pricing for South Africa, mybroadband have now managed to get hold of Vodacom’s contract prices.

While Vodacom have refused to confirm the pricing, it is reportedly what the lucky few pre-registration customers who have been contacted have been quoted. Again, the pricing is very similar to the iPhone 4’s pricing when it first arrived in South Africa which lends credibility the prices.

So what can Vodacom customers expect to pay?

  • Weekender Everyday+: R399
  • Talk 120: R499
  • Talk 240: R545
  • Talk 500: R799
Update: Vodacom have added the following options to their site.
  • iPhone 4S 16Gb – Business Call @ R299pm or R185 + R2736 Pay-in
  • iPhone 4S 32Gb – Business Call @ R399pm or R185 + R5136 Pay-in
  • iPhone 4S 64Gb – Business Call @ R499pm or R185 + R7536 Pay-in

For those of us still waiting to hear back from Vodacom, apparently 70% of new contract customers have been contacted. Loyal customers looking for upgrades will have to wait a bit longer while Vodacom focus on the new money.

Don’t be too concerned if you aren’t contacted though, the iPhone 4S will be available at selected stores to buy on friday, albeit on a first come, first serve basis.

Thusi added that users that haven’t registered will be able to buy the iPhone 4S from Vodacom World and other participating Vodacom outlets on Friday (16 December), but they will be treated on a first come first serve basis.

MTN are also yet to release any pricing information but expect similar prices on their respective contracts.
